Tenoch Distribution is a company that provides services and materials to the underground utilities and irrigation industry assisting manufacturers in the distribution of their products.

Our Story

Our story begins with the innovative idea of providing underground utility industry customers with an A through Z one-stop shop. Establishing a specialized “boutique” that offered estimating, project planning, product knowledge, and expertise. Providing all these services creates a partnership with the customer, leading to the ultimate goal of project completion. After working for 30 years in the underground utilities industry, Rolando Venegas decided to build something for himself and his family. With the support of his wife, Bertha, they both decided to launch a company that would offer just that – the “boutique” experience. Agreeing to this new adventure, Bertha retired from the federal government after 33 years of service to pursue this new endeavor. Her background included outreach and project management support for the implementation of infrastructure projects in sewer, water development, and waste cleanups for communities throughout Texas through government and private grant funding.

As we reached deep into our roots, we decided that it was fitting to name the company Tenoch after the great capital of the Aztec empire—Tenochtitlan.
Our logo, the Aztec calendar, was modified to include the symbols for our family’s birth months.

The underground utilities industry construction market will grow to over $150 billion by 2030. Starting a company in this industry required lots of passion and dedication and working closely with manufacturers that supported us 150%. With our faith in God and all the resources he provided for us, much hard work, and a few tears along the way, we launched Tenoch! Our passion stems from the success of our parents, who came to this country not knowing the language, and with limited education to make a better life for themselves and their families. We, Rolando and I, hope to make them proud one day, but their sacrifice will always be more significant than ours and this is what we hope to instill in our children and all our partners who have taken the challenge to be a part of our company – as we call them – our Tenoch Warriors.

Tenoch Distribution is a Limited Liability Company (LLC) formed to provide services and materials to the underground utilities and irrigation industry. In addition, serves as a distribution point to assist manufacturers in achieving their goals by maximizing their growth in the distribution of their products. Our niche is providing products to contractors, cities, counties, and municipalities to meet the minority participation goals contained in their construction contracts.

We bring value, experience, and willingness to assist. Tenoch Distribution LLC is certified as a Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) and registered with the South Central Texas Regional Certification Agency and the City of Austin as a Hispanic American Business Enterprise (HABE), Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), and Women Business Enterprise (WBE).

Selling our product is essential, but we are that rare niche “Boutique” providing services, education, knowledge, and experience to customers about our manufacturers’ products to help grow our business and theirs. Our company will allow manufacturers to use us as a vessel to continue expanding their products into the market. Our company is dedicated to providing customers with problem-solving recommendations, a testament to our extensive knowledge of the products we sell.
